Old Swan and Minster Mill

The Old Swan and Minster Mill is the latest addition to the de Savary family collection of boutique inns, situated in the quintessential Cotswold village of Minster Lovell on the River Windrush.

These properties, surrounded by acres of gardens, orchards and meadows, share over 600 years of colourful history. The Old Swan is an original 15th century coaching inn. Its 16 guestrooms are outstanding - full of romance and old world charm yet without a trace of the old fashioned. The rooms are very tastefully appointed with heavy oak furniture, lavish fabrics, fine bed linen and up-to-the-minute bathrooms.

The 18th century Minster Mill is situated across the road and is affectionately referred to as 'the less posh country cousin'. The 40 bedrooms are modern with the de Savary flair very much in evidence. They offer a budget alternative to the Old Swan and have an entirely separate rate structure.

The Minster Mill offers four character meeting rooms, each contained within Cotswold stone buildings, providing the ideal tranquil setting, ensuring that all delegates receive and retain information. Free flow coffee, complimentary WIFI and a dedicated Host Manager ensures that meetings run smoothly and efficiently.

Dining is provided at the Old Swan in a series of cosy, flag stoned rooms with exposed beams and open fires.

The food, fresh and locally sourced, is gastro-pub in style with the de Savarys setting the trends once again.

So far de Savary family have invested over half a million pounds, soft refurbishment of all the 61 bedrooms to include: Egyptian cotton sheets, down filled duvets & pillows, Scottish wool blankets from Johnsons of Elgin, Nina Campbell and Osbourne & Little fabrics and Murano Crystal Glass Tumbler's in the bathrooms.

All Swan residents are supplied with waffle cotton embroidery dressing gowns, with the entire bathroom toiletries are supplied from The White Company.

A new residential lounge has been created with sumptuous furnishings offering an ideal setting for pre-dinner drinks or relaxing after dinner malt in front of the roaring fire.

Next to the River Windrush nestled within 60 acres of Cotswold countryside, a landscaping project has also been completed to include re-surfacing the car parks to be in keeping with the Cotswold stone.

Delegates can unwind with a Yon-Ka spa treatment, play pentanque on the new course overlooking the river or for the energetic play a game of tennis on the all-weather surface.

Within the new formal gardens there is a traditional vegetable garden and Chicken House where the Chef can be seen making use of the produce. A forty acre flower Meadow will also be created alongside the River Windrush ensuring a haven for natural wildlife.

In addition to the current investment, de Savary family are actively seeking planning permission to include an outstanding destination spa with indoor and outdoor pool.

An architecturally stunning Great Hall built over the River Windrush the glass bottomed floor offers a fabulous dining experience for parties up to 100 guests.
